The 30-year-old Larrea played 22 games in Spains La Liga with Real Sociedad from 2003 to 2006 and Levante UD in 2010. The central midfielder has also appeared in several Copa del Rey games over his career. On the international scene, Larrea represented Spain at various youth levels, making 15 appearances from the U16 to U23 levels.
